How to add a post in the HOA blog.

First of all you need to make sure that you are logged in into your account. there are few indicators to choose from for your convenience. If you are logged in, you will see Welcome [your screen name] in the top right corner or you can see a small text under the search field saying that you are logged in. Also if you can read private posts you are logged in.

So now we are ready to post in the blog. It is very simple. Just click on the plus sign {+ New} in the top left portion of your screen and a new page will open. You will need to enter a title and use the lower text area for your content. You can use the formatting toolbar the same way you use it in your word processor software.

If you do not see the {+ New} link in the top left portion of your screen this means that your profile is not set for publishing because you didn’t fill up the contact info in your profile. Without those fields set the webmaster can not add you to the bloggers list.

After you are done with your text click on the {Publish} blue button on the right of your screen and it will be published. If you want to notify users about your new post click on the {Notify Users} link on the top right corner of your screen and you will be taken to the emailing page of our website. Here you will need to choose the recipient or a list of recipients. To send it to all you will need to choose the “Role-Subscriber” option from the drop-down menu of the Groups. To send only to few you can use the right drop-down box and choose one by one or a group by pressing down the [CTRL] key. After you chose the recipients just click on the {Send email} blue button in the bottom left corner (you might need to scroll down to see it). Wait for the screen to come back and you are done.

There will be no notification that the email is sent, so just move to your next page or close the website. Please keep in mind that only people that have chosen to receive the website notification will get your email.

If you discover a mistake in your post you can edit it by clicking on the edit link in your page while it is displayed on the screen or you can find it in your posts list when you click on the {La Colina} link in the top left corner of your screen. You can not delete your post.

You are free to send a note to webmaster using the contact page if you will have any difficulties publishing your posts.
